He subsequently earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School at The University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark. He then spent an additional five years training at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark during his General Surgery Residency.

Recently, Dr. Chuback was contacted by his former college guidance advisor from Dwight Englewood, Mr. Miguel Brito. Mr. Brito is now the Head of School at Philip’s Academy Charter School. Dr. Chuback was given the high honor of being asked to sit on the Board of Trustees at the private K-8 school. Of course, the Doctor was proud to accept the nomination. Having spent nine years being educated in the city that Philip’s Academy Charter School calls home, he found it fitting to be able to give back to the community that had been so instrumental in his own personal growth and success.

Philip’s Academy Charter School seeks to provide rigorous academic education to elementary and middle school children of the city of Newark and its environs. Philip’s Academy Charter School strives to create within its students a love of learning, an intellectual curiosity, and a sense of duty to the community that will enable them to make thoughtful and morally informed decisions throughout their lives. Leadership qualities are developed in a culturally diverse experience. The school exists to provide a unique educational opportunity for capable students, regardless of their ability to pay, enabling them upon graduation to be successful in the most selective secondary schools in the nation. They seek to provide a model of educational excellence, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the city of Newark.

Dr. Chuback is now a proud supporter and Trustee of Philip’s Academy Charter School. If you would like to learn more about how you can become involved with the school or give a gift, please call our office for more information.
