February 6th, 2015. Paramus, NJ. Chuback Medical Group is announcing the publication of a new article that outlines the stages of vein disease. According to the NJ vein treatment center, vein disease symptoms tend to grow worse over time and, if left untreated, can cause dangerous complications. The center hopes the information it provides in its new article will encourage patients to seek prompt treatment if needed.
Dr. John Chuback, a leading NJ vascular doctor, explains that although each case of superficial vein disease is different, there are enough similarities that doctors can often predict the way symptoms will progress. “In most cases, the earliest signs of CVI are spider veins (thread-like discolored veins that are visible on the skin’s surface) and varicose veins (larger veins that bulge outward). Such veins are unsightly, but do not constitute a medical emergency.”
Dr. Chuback also notes that while the initial stages of vein disease are not an emergency, the later stages of the disease include changes in skin color and texture, skin ulcers, and an increased risk of blood clots.

Varicose Vein Treatment Options
Abnormal veins, such as varicose and spider veins, affect nearly half of the adult population in the United States. Spider veins are little veins near the skin’s surface that resemble reddish tree branches or spider’s legs. Larger, bulging veins that are more bluish in color are called varicose veins. Varicose veins affect both men and women, but they occur more frequently in women.
There are many choices today for effectively treating varicose veins. Advances in medical technology have led to alternative treatments to surgery that are fast, virtually pain-free, and require little to no recovery time. Endovenous laser treatment, sclerotherapy, and microphlebectomy are all options for current treatment.
