Patient Testimonial

Dear Dr. Chuback,
I just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with Kristen Socha. Besides being a beautiful, sweet, wonderful, compassionate person, she is a professional, par excellence.
I went for three different consultations for restylane injections. One was to an oral surgeon, one to a dermatologist and one to a plastic surgeon. They each took approximately 5 minutes with me. I was not feeling very confident about going to any of them. Then I saw your ad about Kristen in 201 magazine and I decided to consult with her. She spent about 30- 45 minutes with me answering all my questions and treating me with the utmost of respect and understanding. I felt so comfortable with her that I decided to make an appointment.
I came to the office yesterday and was starting to get cold feet, ready to chicken out. Kristen took me into the office and again talked me through the whole thing and said ” Look you don’t have to do this today. I am here. You can come back another time.”
But I planned the injections around my vacation from teaching so it was now or not for a long time.
I took the plunge and am so happy I did. Kristen was gentle and kind, supportive and encouraging. She even saw me again today just to check out some spots I was concerned about.
Not only am I happy with the results, I am so happy that I have found Kristen. I trust her to take good care of me.
She is definitely a wonderful asset to your office.

Liquid Face Lift

Aging is a fact of life, but no one has said it couldn’t, and shouldn’t, be done gracefully. As we age our skin loses elasticity and the volume provided by collagen. Add the downward pull of gravity and you end up with fine lines, wrinkles and folds. For decades men and women have gone “under the knife” to postpone or delay the aging process. More recently, however, given the economic climate and our busy lifestyles, patients don’t have the time or the money for traditional plastic surgery. The latest solution is a “liquid face lift.” With the advances in cosmetic soft tissue fillers, patients can enjoy a fuller, more youthful looking appearance at a fraction of the cost of plastic surgery and with minimal downtime.

Through a series of injections, skilled practitioners can replace the volume lost during the aging process with cosmetic soft tissue fillers, such as Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse. Common treatment areas include cheek and lip augmentation, correction of the nasolabial folds (the line from the nose to the mouth) and marionette lines and improvement in the volume deficit under the eye, also known as the tear trough. Instead of the tight, gaunt look associated with traditional plastic surgery, there is a plumping up of the skin – restoring a natural, youthful look and giving you back years of volume loss. The procedure is very well tolerated by patients and can be done in the office within 30-45 minutes. Results are seen immediately can last up to a year and, with the appropriate maintenance, even longer.

As a practitioner who has been working in cosmetic medicine for the last 6 years, a common concern expressed by my patients is the worry that they will look unnatural or “overfilled.” Rest assured that one to two syringes of a cosmetic soft tissue filler (the average amount of filler needed per treatment) is a conservative amount of product and will not drastically change your overall appearance. The amount of filler needed will depend on the patient, the area of concern and the amount of correction that is needed. Keep in mind that it is not my goal to make you look radically different, rather to create a younger, fresher version of yourself. Together we can focus on problem areas to achieve a softer, more refreshed look without changing your overall appearance.

Dr. Chuback awarded diplomate status/certification

American Board of Phlebology

Paramus/Allendale — Dr. John Chuback, a resident of Allendale, has achieved diplomate status, according to a recent announcement by the American Board of Phlebology which followed the release of exam results.

Peter E. Doherty of the American Board of Phlebology wrote in a letter regarding the certification that, “Dr. Chuback’s certification with the American Board of Phlebology is a direct reflection on Dr. Chuback’s skill, knowledge and experience in providing quality patient care and continued commitment to the advancement of vein care.”

The third class of diplomates for ABPh includes 475 practitioners in the United States and Canada. Less than 1 percent of all phlebology professionals in the U.S. and Canada have earned certification for the ABPh.

Certification periods are 10 years and maintenance is dependent on assessment of the diplomate in four areas: Professional standing, commitment to lifelong-learning and periodic self-evaluation, cognitive expertise and performance in practice.
